The School Report Cards for Fieldcrest schools continue to show growth for our students.
All four schools earned Commendable ratings which indicates that the schools are within the range of scores and indicators of an effective school. All schools have areas of strength as well as opportunities for growth.
Fieldcrest Primary School showed the most improvement with its designation moving from targeted to commendable. A large decrease in chronic absenteeism along with strong growth in math helped shape the overall rating for the school. A continued focus on math and reading are a part of the school’s improvement plan.
Fieldcrest Intermediate’s attendance rate continues to improve along with improved growth in English. Opportunities for math growth still exist and are part of the school’s improvement plan.
Fieldcrest Middle School continues to meet the percent proficient goals in both math and English achievement. With a slight improvement in chronic absenteeism, the middle school still has opportunities for improvement in this area. The school improvement plan focuses not only on attendance, but is working to improve the growth mindset of its students to further improve academic success.
Fieldcrest High School continued its high graduation rate. In the coming year, their attention will focus on chronic absenteeism and ninth-grade on-track rates, as these factors greatly impact student growth and are therefore priorities in their school improvement plan.
